A BOURNEMOUTH museum and wedding venue has officially partnered with the annual Bourne Free festival.

Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum, near Bournemouth seafront, teamed up with the festival's organisers to host an evening of jazz music and entertainment as part of the three-day event, which ran from July 10 to 12.

Staff from the museum also ran a stall in the Lower Gardens where festival-goers could find out more about weddings and venue hire following the Russell-Cotes' partnership with Bourne Free, now in its 11th year.

Sarah Newman, programmes officer at the Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum, said: "We are pleased to be working in partnership with Bourne Free to promote our beautiful house and galleries with our first fully inclusive wedding packages."

She added that the partnership 'aims to unite and show support to Bournemouth’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.'

Bourne Free is an annual celebration of all diversities that live in Bournemouth and the constant strive towards universal equality for all through entertainment and awareness. Across the weekend, revellers enjoyed a parade, entertainment in the Triangle and live music in the bandstand in Bournemouth Lower Gardens.

Sarah says that the Bourne Free ethos is 'something that Russell-Cotes is proud to back.'

She went on to say that the partnership ties in with the launch of the inclusive options wedding packages created by the Russell-Cotes, which include ceremony room hire, reception room hire, evening function, music and decorations.

Happy couples can also enjoy a deluxe option which includes a drinks reception and canapes, a three-course wedding breakfast and evening buffet.
