PARENT Alix Fauvel’s three daughters have all attended the school. She said: “We could not have hoped for a better start to their education. They have all achieved so much whilst thoroughly enjoying themselves. It is such a warm and nurturing environment.”

CLAIRE Nicholls has children in Year 4 and Reception. She said: “The school is at the very heart of the village and there is a genuine community spirit.”

YEAR 4 pupil Hermione Lewis, eight, said: “I like the fact that the teachers always listen and understand what you are trying to say. My favourite subject is writing and I have got a lot of friends here.”

SAM Lister, a Year 3 student, said: “I really like the teachers. They make the learning hard but they always make it fun as well. There are lots of clubs and I go to football, karate and multi sports.”

YEAR 1 teacher Alastair Crossley started at the school in September. He said: “The school has a warm, calm, safe and nurturing environment for the children. It is easier to challenge them with their learning if they feel calm, settled and safe.”

NEVE Meldrum, six, is in Year 2. She said: “The things I like best are writing and drawing. We do a lot of sport which is fun and I have lots of friends in my class. It is a really nice school.”
