KINSON village green will be the venue for a day of festive fun at the end of this month.

Father Christmas will be one of many guests invited to A Kinson Village Christmas, which promises entertainment for all the family.

Events will run throughout the day on Saturday, November 30 to keep all ages amused.

A local food and craft market will be held from 11am until 4pm with Santa offering free gifts in his Grotto for children from 11.30am.

A children’s fancy dress competition will be taking place and judged at 3.30pm. There will also be Christmas carols around the tree at 4pm.

The event has been sponsored by Kinson Business Forum (KBF) and is supported by a number of organisations including The Rotary Club of Bournemouth North, Bournemouth, council and Bournemouth Chamber of Commerce.

It is further backed by the Daily Echo and Advertiser.

It is the first festive event of its kind to be held in Kinson and is free of charge. Pupils from Kinson Primary School and The Bourne Academy will be singing.

“We want everyone to come and enjoy this community event, which we hope will become an annual event,” said Ramesh Lal, chairman of the Forum.

Kinson has a very rich heritage and KBF are keen to promote this throughout the area.”

The fun starts at 11am and runs until 7pm.
