EIGHT new trainee solicitors have started their two-year training contract with law firm Lester Aldridge.

Jessica Maidment, Alistair Robertson and Franca Bosompim have joined LA and David Newnham, Jade Phillips, Ben Cobb, Alison Collier and Lucy Wadley have all worked at the company previously in different roles.

The training at Lester Aldridge usually consists of four six-month seats, where trainees become fully integrated members of the team.

Lester Aldridge said it had an excellent record of retaining trainees once they had completed their training, with five out of six trainees who joined in 2010 soon to be working as fully-qualified solicitors at the firm.

Michael Giddins, managing partner of LA, said: “I am delighted to welcome our new trainees, who will become an integral part of LA for the duration of their contract, hopefully longer.

“This year we have taken on two more trainees than in previous years, reflecting our commitment to investing in the firm's future.”
