SOUTHBOURNE Grove Post Office will close for 12 days for refurbishment from Thursday, August 15.
Customers returning to the store from 11am on Tuesday, August 27 have been told will find a modern open plan environment and increased opening hours.
The post office will open half-an-hour earlier from 8.30am from Monday to Saturday, and will remain open until 5.30pm on Saturdays instead of the current 2pm closing time.
It will have four serving positions.
“We are confident that this new modern post office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future,” said Post Office regional network manager Will Russell.
“The modernisation is part of a major investment programme.”
During the closure customers can use post offices at the Royal Arcade in Boscombe or Christchurch Road, Boscombe East.
