ARTISTS are being sought to take part in a series of exhibitions in honour of Amnesty International.

Local members of Amnesty International are planning around eight to 10 shows across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch with the aim of raising awareness of human rights.

Participation will be open to anyone over 16 with an interest in both art and human rights.

Two course leaders at the Arts University Bournemouth have agreed to build the project into their study programmes from September.

The exhibitions will take place over three months from Saturday March 8, starting with four weeks at Christchurch Priory and the Red House Museum.

Entrants should get in touch first to register an interest and let the organisers know what medium they will be working in.

The deadline for submissions is December 10, which is Human Rights day.

All the organisers need by that date is two or three photos of the completed work, plus contact details. Entrants should also say in a few words what aspect of human rights has inspired them.
