DORSET brewery Hall & Woodhouse has become the latest business to support a campaign to restore the county’s iconic fingerpost signs.
The Blandford-based company is backing the Dorset Fingerpost Project, a Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty project, and has re-sited the purpose-built fingerpost sign outside The Crown Hotel in Blandford, which was specially created for its Silver Gilt award-winning show garden at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in 2012.
Hall & Woodhouse brand marketing manager Anna Corbett said: “Dorset AONB kindly sponsored the fingerpost, which was made by Heritage Fingerpost Signs for our ‘Badger Beer Garden’.
“We wanted to take the legacy of the Hampton Court garden and also show our support to Dorset AONB’s fingerpost project – and of course to bring the sign a little closer to home.”
The sign has now been updated in accordance with the traditional design and was then repositioned in time for the company’s Founder’s Day celebrations on June 8.
