A PENSIONER who died following an accident near Pokesdown railway station on Sunday night has been named as Peter Kemp.

An inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday morning into the death of the 70-year-old from St Clement’s Road in Boscombe.

Mr Kemp, who lived alone, was formally identified by a friend. The cause of his death has not yet been ascertained.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, involving a silver BMW, on Christchurch Road at around 7.45 pm, to phone the non-emergency number 101.
