POLICE are appealing to Good Samaritans who helped a woman after she was the victim of an assault in New Milton.
A 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were walking along Station Road, between 10.30pm and 11pm on Sunday, when they were approached by a drunken man.
As the couple walked down an alleyway towards the skate park the alcohol-fuelled man kicked the woman, causing bruising to her leg.
Police want to speak to a group of young men who witnessed the assault and came to the woman’s aid, walking the couple home to safety.
Anyone with information about the incident should phone PC Benjamin Clarke at New Milton police station on 101.
