FINDING six men who can sing, dance and act is one thing.

But finding six men who are also willing to get their kit off on stage has proved to be even more of a challenge for director Adam Myers.

Adam is bringing The Full Monty - the Broadway musical, by the Bournemouth and Boscombe Light Opera Company (BBLOC) to the Regent Centre in Christchurch.

He told the Echo: “It is a tricky show to cast because you need six men who can sing, dance and act and are also willing to get their clothes off too.

“A lot of them say they are up for it, but when the chips are down, they don’t want to do it.

“ I understand that - it’s just that I’d rather know as soon as possible rather than trying to find a replacement at the last minute.”

This is one of the reasons why Adam also has a starring role in the production playing the role of Dave.

“I’m quite a big guy like Dave in the movie which makes it even harder to cast, and probably explains why I’ve played the role of Dave three times for other companies too!”

The musical is based on one of the most successful British movies ever made about a group of unemployed Sheffield steelworkers who become strippers for one night only.

The Broadway musical is at the Regent Centre from Wednesday, March 21 to Saturday, March 24 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Please note, this show contains strong language and nudity. Parental guidance is advised due to adult content. Tickets £16.50, concessions, £15.50. 50p from every ticket will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK.
