BUTCHER Paul Buttling, from Ludwell near Shaftesbury, has just been crowned a champion sausage maker.
Paul Buttling saw off competition from nearly 130 butchers at a recent competition in Exeter to lift the champion’s trophy.
Paul follows the family recipe for a traditional pork sausage which is made without any frills – "it’s just a good old-fashioned, honest sausage,” he says.
At the food blog, that got us thinking. What's your favourite porker?
Is it about the breed, or the meat content - in Echo Towers we're never knowingly less than 80 per cent meat - or do you like yours with flavour?
And what's the weirdest sausage flavour you've ever seen - I'm sure Waitrose recently did a pork and strawberry affair.
