A TRIBUTE to Coldplay is returning to Weymouth Pavilion.

Coldplace, said to be the world's leading tribute to the group, return with a second UK tour after the sell-out success of their first last year.

They will perform at Weymouth Pavilion on February 28.

Shane Croft, lead singer of Coldplace, said: “We were astounded at how well tickets sales went last year for our very first theatre tour and elated by the response we received at the venues.

“We never expected it to be as popular as it was, and so much that we had to organise a second date for a venue just before Christmas, as we received disappointed messages from fans saying they didn’t manage to grab tickets in time before it sold out.”

Instead of delivering the standard music concert format, Coldplace decided to take the plunge last year and put together a full theatre tour.

Shane said: “The majority of tribute bands nowadays perform at the usual music venues across the country, such as O2 Academies and the usual music clubs. Although still very reputable listings to have, we decided to bring something a little bit different to the tribute scene, and to produce more of a visual show.”

Coldplay are a very visual band, and always have been during their 20 years of performance. Coldplace have recreated the A Head Full of Dreams show as precisely as is possible, incorporating their incredible backdrops, confetti canons, pyrotechnics and laser lights.

Shane said: "We have all been itching to bring the real Coldplay show to our loyal fans for a few years now, and have never been able to fulfil this up until recently, and we’re really excited for you all to see it in its full glory, with no limitations. We have made a few changes and updates to the show we performed last year, so be prepared to be blown away!”
