A rock choir concert has raised more than £2,000 for Julia's House, the Dorset and Wiltshire children's hospice charity.

The concert at Weymouth Pavilion brought together choirs from Dorchester, Weymouth and Poole, with more than 280 singers taking part. The performance included a wide range of songs, from The Greatest Showman's This Is Me to Elton John's I'm Still Standing.

The evening ended with the whole theatre on their feet, singing along to Shut Up and Dance with Me by Walk The Moon.

A retiring collection helped raise the incredible amount for the local charity. Julia's House was presented with the money and gave special thanks to members of the choir and the audience for their generosity.

Julia's House supports children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families, providing care at home, in the community, or at one of the charity's two hospices in Corfe Mullen and Devizes. The organisation offers regular respite and emotional support, plus emergency and end-of-life care.

Rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and currently supporting 163 families across Dorset and Wiltshire, Julia's House relies on fundraising, donations and legacies to run 95 per cent of its service.
