AFTER a couple of false starts Ne-Yo’s tour finally made it to Bournemouth on Friday and judging by the reaction the fans loved every minute of it.

The evening started early for some with a meet and greet that allowed a few fans to get up close and meet the R&B superstar, something that I am sure they will remember for a long time to come.

The evening started with a DJ support slot and a well-received set from London born Adian Coker that got the crowd going and set the mood for the main event.

As soon as he hit the stage it was clear why Ne-Yo has sold over 10 million albums, won three Grammy awards and has collaborated with the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna and Usher.

Opening with So Sick, She Knows and Miss Independent the smooth moves and even smoother voice had the crowd dancing and singing along.

Continuing with some of the big hitters from his early years in the shape of Because of You and Sexy Love he obviously wasn’t keeping all of the favourites until the end.

After a quick change of clothes it was time to slow the pace with a six song acoustic section before it was time for another quick change and on with the show.

Continuing with On Ya Mind, Push Back and Nights Like These Ne Yo has a cool laid back on-stage presence and connects with the crowd that makes this show seem like an intimate club gig.

The main set ended with Another Love Song and Time of Our Lives but the man was back for a four-song encore that ended with Number one smash Let Me Love You.

This was a great night that left the crowd happy that they had finally got to see this excellent show and that it was well worth the wait.
