ONE of the UK’s most enduring bands, New Order are set to play Bestival 2012.
Since the band’s reformation last year, minus Peter Hook but with Gillian Gilbert back among their ranks, interest in them has been at fever pitch.
So Radio 1 DJ and organiser Rob da Bank has pulled off a coup by booking them to headline Saturday night at Robin Hill Country Park.
With an armoury of anthems stretching back three decades, including Blue Monday, True Faith and Regret, New Order live is an essential experience.
Spectacular live act Friendly Fires, electro-rockers Death in Vegas and eclectic art pop quartet Django Django have also been added to the bill for the event, from September 6 to 9 on the Isle of Wight.
