HE’S come out from behind the Green Door and is on a mission to rock This Ole (Opera) House… Yes, pop pickers, the original Elvis tribute artiste himself, straight from the Valleys of the King, Shakin’ Stevens is heading for the O2 Academy Bournemouth on October 17 as part of his 30th anniversary tour.

The one they call Shaky began his performing career as a bit of light relief from his job as a milkman in the late 1960s, even supporting the Rolling Stones.

But it wasn’t until after he landed a starring role in the West End musical Elvis! that the rest of the world woke up to Shaky.

He’s gone on to notch up a whopping 33 top 40 singles and was the best selling male UK singles artist of the 80s.

Tickets for the October show go on sale from usual outlets at 9am on Friday (February 12).
