BOURNEMOUTH musician Howie Casey has been there and done it all. An original member of Paul McCartney's band Wings, Howie has now put together a show celebrating the music of Paul McCartney and Wings, which has Sir Paul's blessing.

The ten piece band is called Howie Casey's Rockestra and after performing at the Barrington Theatre in Ferndown last night, they now play an eagerly anticipated second show at Mr Kyps in Poole on August 14.

This month is also the 44th anniversary of the formation of Wings. Howie currently lives in Bournemouth and played on five albums and three world tours with Wings, which included the tour in 1980 where Paul was arrested in Japan.

Howie also recently travelled to Hamburg to play the very last ever gig with Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes. The late Cilla Black sang with the Dominoes in the very early days and the recent ITV drama Cilla shows her singing with Kingsize and the Dominoes.

Howie's band Derry and the Seniors was the first Liverpool band to go and play in Hamburg at the Kaiserkeller a few months before The Beatles.
