A CAFE in Christchurch has been forced to close and staff have been told to self-isolate because of the Covid-19 virus.

The Bunker in St Catherine’s Hill received news that a member of staff at the café had been in close contact with a positive case on Friday June 18.

All staff at the café and bar have been told to self-isolate for 10 days but expect to reopen on Tuesday June 29.

A member of staff from the café posted on Facebook that they have tried to make contact with bookings about the situation.

The spokesman said: “It’s with sadness we have to announce our immediate closure due to track and trace.

“We have tried to contact all bookings we have in over the next 10 days but some people we don’t have numbers for, so apologies if we haven’t been in contact.

“Feel free to message us if you have any questions or want to postpone your booking.

“We will be back open on Tuesday June 29 at 8.30am. See you then, stay safe.”
