Toby Granville returned as editor of the Bournemouth Daily Echo in June 2026 after a 12-year secondment, during which he served as editorial development director and helped lead the digital transformation of Newsquest’s portfolio of more than 200 titles across the UK from February 2015. Currently he is also regional editor of Newsquest South Coast which includes the Brighton Argus, the Southern Daily Echo and Dorset Echo. When he is not editing Toby is often found following Shaun Ryder and his bands Happy Mondays and Black Grape around the country.
