ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE FOLLOWED BY TEMPORARY PHASED LANE CLOSURES LINDSAY ROAD THE POOLE (LINDSAY ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and has made an Order in exercise of its powers under The Highways Act 1980, The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, the effect of this Order is as follows: Full Road Closure from 7am on Sunday 15 July to 6am on Monday 16 July 2018 no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed from County Gates Gyratory to and including the junction with Burton Road.
Westbound Lane Closure from 6am on Monday 16 July to 6am on Saturday 21 July 2018 no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed westbound from County Gates to St Aldhelm's Road. Northbound Lane Closure from 6am on Monday 23 July to 6am on Friday 27 July 2018 no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed northbound from Leicester Road signal junction to St Aldhelm's Road. The junctions of Burton Road, Wilderton Road, Wilder-ton Road East with Lindsay Road will also be closed for the duration of the work. The rear entrance to the Tesco Superstore will also be closed. Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor. A diversion will be signed. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis. Local residents will be informed by letter nearer the time of the proposed work with further details. Access for residents will be available where practicable.
The Road Closure followed by the Lane Closures are required for carriageway resurfacing The proposed Order is effective from 7am on Sunday 15 July 2018 to 6am on Friday 27 July 2018. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required. If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
