ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO 6 FROM COGDEAN ELMS TO THE BOROUGH BOUNDARY AT HAPPY BOTTOM THE POOLE (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 6) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that pedestrians on the said Public Footpath should be prohibited and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 5, 14(1), 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers as detailed above, the effect of which is that no person or vehicle shall proceed along Public Footpath No. 6 from the road at Cogdean Elms to the Borough boundary at Happy Bottom. The proposed closure is required for bridge refurbishment work.
The proposed Order is effective from Monday 26 June 2017 to Monday 10 July 2017. The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of six months if required. If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary
conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
