Christchurch and East Dorset Core Strategy Local Plan Examination in Public
The Core Strategy is the document that sets out the planning strategy for Christchurch Borough and East Dorset District over the next 15 years to 2028. It sets out how much, what type, where and how much development should take place and how this should be catered for. It sets out a vision and objectives for the area which are reflected in planning policies to achieve this. The Christchurch and East Dorset Core Strategy - Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State on 15 March 2013 for independent examination. Mrs S Turner RIBA MRTPI IHBC BArch MSc has been appointed by the Secretary of State as the Planning Inspector to undertake the Core Strategy Examination in Public (EIP).
The Pre Hearing Meeting
The Inspector has called a Pre hearing Meeting which will be held at 10.00 am on Tuesday 30th July 2013 at Christchurch Borough Council, Council Chamber, Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Christchurch, BH23 1AZ. The Pre Hearing Meeting is being held prior to the Core Strategy examination hearings in September and will provide guidance on procedural matters and participation in the examination. The Pre Hearing Meeting will be run by the Planning Inspector and will not be dealing with matters and issues relating to the Core Strategy policies.
