Public Carriage Fee Structure
The Bournemouth Borough Council has approved variations of the Table Public Carriage Licence fees. The Table will be varied as follows:
SERVICE Current New
Hackney Carriage Vehicle licence per annum £144.00 £180.00
New/Replacement vehicle door signs (pair) £42.50 £60.00
Private Hire Vehicle licence per annum £120.00 £150.00
Application fee for new and permanent replacement Hackney or Private Hire vehicle licence (non-refundable in addition to the above) £40.00 £60.00
Transfer of vehicle licence £40.00 £60.00
Temporary use of vehicle authorization £60.00 £80.00
Replacement Licence Plate (where lost, damaged or stolen) £32.50 £50.00
DRIVERS
Drivers licence per annum £70.00 £95.00
Additional fee for application or reissue, for drivers requiring both Hackney and Private Hire drivers licences.
£54.00 £75.00
PLUS any fee arising from carrying out necessary external check e.g. criminal records bureau

New drivers application inc Knowledge test £145.00 £180.00
New Drivers licence for twelve months £70.00 £95.00
Additional fee if both licences issued £18.00 £35.00

OPERATORS
Minimum fee £90.00 £105.00
Maximum fee £500.00 £515.00
Standard fee calculation (based on number of vehicles operated) (per vehicle) £15.00 £30.00
Application for new operators licence (non-returnable) in addition to the fees above £40.00 £55.00

Any objections to the proposed fees and charges must be made in writing and sent to Steve Wright Principal Licensing Officer, Town Hall, St Stephens Road, Bournemouth BH2 6LL quoting this reference T&PH/SGW within 28 days of publication of this notice. The fees as varied will become operative on the 1 April 2014 subject to any amendments.
