On 5th January 2021 BCP Council passed a resolution specifying that Schedule 3 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 as amended by section 27 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009 shall apply to their area and that resolution shall come Into force on 1st April 2021. This resolution will allow BPC Council to regulate sexual entertainment venues as sex establishments throughout their whole area and to publish a Sex Establishment Policy to assist In the determination of such applications. The policy will Include details of locality characteristics which will be considered when determining any application for a sex establishment within the BCP area.
