Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Slag Lane (Part), Westbury; for a distance of approximately 50 meters covering the Railway Bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge examination and associated works. Alternative route: via Slag Lane (unaffected length) - B3097 - Hawkeridge Road and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 10 February 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 for one night. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice of Making Order Section 53 Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 - Definitive Map & Statement for the Trowbridge Urban District Council Area 1953 - The Wiltshire Council Trowbridge Path no.8 Definitive Map & Statement Modification Order 2021 The above Order made 19 January 2021, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by upgrading to a bridleway the public right of way, (Path no.8 Trowbridge, Church Lane), leading from its junction with Frame Road at OSGR ST 8427-5629, in a generally north-westerly direction for approx 294m to its junction with Path no.9 Trowbridge at OSCR ST 8407-5648, and varying the particulars relating to Path no.8 Trowbridge by providing a recorded width varying between 4m and 13 m, as shown on the Order Map.
