TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT: Temporary Speed Limit Reduction of the existing speed limit restriction (40mph) - no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 30mph on the following road:
WHERE: Wallisdown Road - from the Mountbatten Roundabout to its junction with Benbow Crescent.
WHEN: From Monday 30 November 2020 until Friday 30 April 2021.
WHY: The proposed temporary speed restriction is required in order to reduce vehicle speeds to create a safer working environment due to reduced carriageway width on Wallisdown Road whilst works are undertaken as part of the Wallisdown Road Highway Improvements.
These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this Traffic Regulation Order.
