Sign in to add a tribute"Mr" Bence, as we knew him at Testwood Secondary Comprehensive School, Totton, Hampshire, was a very fine teacher. I recall that he was always fair and even-handed with everyone he taught.
I, myself, attended Testwood from 1969-1974, and he taught me P.E on many occasions during those years. He was a very fit man, and could play a variety of different sports well. I particular remember gymnastics being one of his specialities.
I also recall "Mr." Bence accompanying us on the very enjoyable school Winter Sports holiday to Austria over the Winter of 1971/'72, where we saw the New Year in. He enjoyed himself that night, along with us all.
He will be very sadly missed.
R.I.P. Reverend - "Mr." Norman Bence.
