MOORE Michael Our wonderful dad, Michael Moore, (also dearest papa, brother, uncle and friend) passed peacefully away on 8/10/21. You are all warmly invited to attend his Thanksgiving Service at St John's Church, Moordown at 11a.m and then please come to a party celebrating his life at the Hotel Mirimar. With our love Helen & Andrew (daughter and son)

“If I see a little further it is because I stand on the shoulders of …” the giant Michael Moore. He who taught me Classics and took us on a school trip at 11 in 1971 to Delphi, the Parthenon, Mycenae and Epidavrous. I took each of my children to the same places at the same age so they could experience some of what he gave me. I even re-read some Sophocles t’other day. A delightful man and an inspirational teacher with a 50+ year reach.

Please accept my condolences. Mr Moore taught me classics at St. Peter’s in the 1970s. A great teacher who organized an amazing trip to Italy by train. Gave me a love for Roman and Greek history.
