NIMMO James peacefully in Poole Hospital on Tuesday 12th February 2019. Beloved husband of Judith for over fifty years. A much loved dad of Elizabeth, Stephen and to Reuben. Also a devoted and adored grandad of Phoebe and to Taylor and Alexander. He showed unconditional love to his family and friends. His passionate support for the education of others benefited many thousands of students and colleagues throughout a career spanning over forty years which will undoubtedly be his legacy. His funeral service will take place at The Parish Church of St. Aldhelm, Branksome on Saturday 2nd March at 12 noon. No flowers at Jim's request, but donations in his memory are to be divided between The Dog's Trust, and Arne Ward, Poole General Hospital who showed him such exemplary care through his final days. Donations should be made payable to the funeral director, Chester Pearce Funeral Service, and sent to 38, Seamoor Road, Westbourne, Dorset. BH4 9AS. Tel: 01202 612110

Jim was my college lecturer back in 1969 when I was an apprentice. He was always supportive, a great teacher, and genuinely interested in the progress of his students. Our paths crossed again some years later when he helped me through my HNC and later still on management courses. All this over a thirty year time span. As I retire from a very successful career I can acknowledge the impact he had on it and the difference he made. Thanks Jim , one of life's good guys.
