EDNA & IVOR SAUNDERS On 22nd December Edna and Ivor Saunders of West Moors, Dorset celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. Edna and Ivor met as children in 1939 as they played on the swings in Kings Park. They remained sweethearts through their teens, but were separated in WW2 when Ivor was deployed for training in Canada with the RAF. When the war was over, Ivor returned to Edna and they married, surrounded by family, in December 1945. They have shared a special friendship for 76 years, raising two daughters: Lynne and Anne. This year they will be celebrating their anniversary at home, surrounded by their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
