A POLICE patrol in Bournemouth led to the capture of a wanted woman and the recovery of £200 of stolen goods from a shoplifter.

PCSO Harold was patrolling anti-social behaviour hot spots as part of Bournemouth South Neighbourhood Policing Team when he apprehended the suspected shoplifter.

He then patrolled Westbourne, providing reassurance and deterring shoplifters, before dealing with a man who was refusing to leave a Bournemouth University building.

In the afternoon a wanted female was caught on town CCTV and was promptly arrested by PCs Mike and Justin.

PC Dan then carried out high visibility patrols in Old Christchurch Road, Horseshoe Common and the Lansdowne Roundabout areas.

He checked for rough sleepers and ensured they have been offered adequate help.

PCs Dan, Paul, Justin and Mike were briefed on a peaceful protest and were on hand to make sure “there would be no breach of the peace”.

Further anti-social behaviour was identified in Lansdowne Road and multiple section 35 dispersal orders were issued.

Later in the night PCs Paul and Dan assisted colleagues with a disturbance in the Lower Gardens.
