Bryanston Summer Fair

Taking place May 25 – 26, be inspired by the host of artisan foods, crafts, plants, garden furniture, and accessories on sale, before chilling out at the two street food areas where you can also enjoy music from fabulous local artists. NEW FOR THIS YEAR is a climbing tower, Alpaca walking, and meet the Disney Princesses! As well as popular favourites, including flower arranging demonstrations, falconry, and classic cars.

If that’s not enough there is plenty for the kids to do with bouncy castle, rides, games, face painting, circus skills workshop, Magic Man, sand art, and craft area.

Purbeck Valley Folk Festival

Taking place August 15-18, secure your tickets to the best of folk and roots music from around the world, on offer across 5 stages. This year’s highlights include TikTok shanty sensation The Longest Johns, African kora player Seckou Keita - with his 8-piece Senegalese band, BBC 6Music favourite John Smith, and Gentleman Jack theme tune writers/singers O’Hooley & Tidow. There is absolutely loads for kids to do (all included in the ticket price!) including: storytelling, rock-climbing, archery, dinosaurs, crafts, circus skills, bouncy castles, fancy dress, maypole dancing, and much more!

The craft area is fantastic with workshops in cyanotype printing, tie-dye, blacksmithing, pottery, origami, and more.

The Cheese & Chilli Festival

The Cheese and Chilli Festival, Christchurch, taking place May 18 – 19, is a family show offering something for everyone. There will be many traders selling cheese and chilli products as well as craft and retail stands. There is a family area accommodating FREE shows such as Wrestling, Punch and Judy, a Magician, Circus Skills, children’s fun rides (paid for activity) and inflatables. If that is not enough, there are more FREE activities including live music, demonstration/talks, a chilli eating competition, a chilli food challenge, a chilli sauce competition, crazy golf, plus loads more. There is plenty to eat and drink with authentic food stalls and dedicated ale, cider, cocktail and general bars available.
