I WAS so interested to read the letter from the former matron of the Retired Nurses National Home as I also have very fond memories of working there as a trained nurse during the late 1980's early 90's.
I agree wholeheartedly with Ms.White with regard to keeping the memory of this wonderful home and its amazing residents, alive.
I will never forget most of the dear ladies names and can still picture their faces in my mind. What wonderful women they were.
It was my great privilege and honour to have helped care for them in their twilight years.
