A POPULAR seaside attraction is back after a short winter break.
The iconic Bournemouth observation wheel, which has proved popular with both residents and tourists, has returned to the beach.
The wheel was taken down on January 29 this year, leaving the residents of Bournemouth with only a view of a few poles of the existing attraction.
Now, the ferris wheel has returned to the coast with a more modern-looking approach.
Compared to the previous wheel, this updated version has maintained its classic white exterior but updated its seating.
Situated on the seafront opposite Bournemouth Pier, the attraction has been a favourite of the town thanks to the impressive views of the pier, beach, town, and Lower Gardens from the top.
Bournemouth has hosted the wheel near the seaside since May 2016 although it was initially located in the Triangle.
Even though the wheel has come back earlier than expected, it is not confirmed when the wheel will begin operating.
The Echo has contacted BCP Council for more information.
