CHRISTMAS has finally kicked off for 2023 - and it's brighter than ever with the addition of brand new lights.
A dazzling display of lights have officially been switched on in the Lower Gardens in Bournemouth town centre.
Part of the Christmas Tree Wonderland, the festive favourite of the town has welcomed some new displays this year.
New this year is a tunnel of lights which will trail across the entrance of the gardens - already a favourite for people's Instagrams.
There is also the Santa Express display, aimed at families who can enjoy a train ride around the giant Santa illumination in front of the bandstand.

The centrepiece walk-through tree will be lit and decorated with Christmas tree decorations, with laser lights creating a beacon from the top.
A new walk-through Christmas present completes the trail on the seafront.
The lights join the opening of the markets in the Square, which took place on Thursday, November 16.
Featuring a range of festive wares alongside food and drink, visitors can grab a hot chocolate to warm up or a festive tipple from the Alpine Bar.
Skate Ice Rink is also making a welcome return to the Lower Gardens.
