Bold assault on beachfront
ONE thing you can say for Eddie Mitchell. He has an eye for a headturning design.
The developer and former football chairman is still apparently very much in the sports and leisure actitivity market judging by the proposals he has formally submitted to Borough of Poole.
His plan is for 3,900 capacity beach arena at Sandbanks on the current pavilion site.
He points out that, even in the council’s opinion, the seafront area has suffered from years of underinvestment. Mr Mitchell’s move is a bold one that merits the serious consideration it will doubtless receive.
