IT seems that the current closure of the old Poole bridge is just a taste of things to come.
Today we report news that, in 2016, it could be shut for months while major work takes place on renewing the 87-year-old structure’s approaches.
It will mean that the bridge could well be closed to traffic for quite some time.
While this will of course bring disruption, it will be good to see that the £66 million promised by the Government earlier this year will be spent on tangible improvements to infrastructure.
