THE true cost of the storm damage on Friday night may not be known for some time.
But it’s fair to say that the bill for this county alone will run into millions of pounds.
Praise must go to everyone who rallied round to clear up the debris over the weekend.
The emergency services and the local authorities have been working round the clock to make sure areas are safe.
And the volunteers, soldiers and the general public have also been involved in ensuring that, although we were battered, we weren’t beaten.
