THERE are certain ‘rules’ when you join a new neighbourhood.

And one of them is to try and fit in with the people that live there and observe the common courtesies that help us all get along.

So we welcome the idea of student wardens in Winton.

Their job is to support students moving into private housing for the first time and remind them that slamming taxi doors or standing in the road chatting after a night out, can cause problems with residents.

We wish the year-long pilot scheme every success.
