Stop parking on pavement

10:37am Tuesday 21st May 2013

I WRITE supporting Philip Whitelegg's call to de-clutter our shopping areas (Rid the area of A-boards 13th May). The problem, however, is not confined to advertising.

Seats hard to find in public

10:37am Tuesday 21st May 2013

I FULLY agree with your correspondent Ms Hart (Echo May 9) regarding her complaint of the shortage of public seating at Castlepoint.

Need for this kind of store

10:36am Tuesday 21st May 2013

Further to the article “Residents shock at launch of sex store” on Sunday I was dismayed that in times of empty shops and failing high streets that the residents of Poole have taken this attitude. We are a modern vibrant society in Poole and as a resident I had seen the shop display being put together over the last few weeks and thought that this was an underwear shop. Nothing more and nothing less. It has been very discreetly decorated. I cannot understand how people can say “it’s getting very sleazy”, I like others would say that the gaming and pawn shops could equally be described as such. When you think that the Anne Summers Group makes millions in profits every year there certainly is a “need”. When you see Ann Summers shops you are under no illusion that this is a sex shop whereas Purrfectly Discreet looks more like any undie store.

Pro-creation is not disgraceful

Pistol shot scared dog

11:00am Monday 20th May 2013

I’ve never bin so incensed

10:14am Monday 20th May 2013

I WAS incensed by the comments from your anonymous correspondent (Binmen need work ethic, Thursday, May 16) that our local refuse operatives have “become slack or afraid of work”!

Imax and surf reef money could have been used to save Winter Gardens

9:00am Saturday 18th May 2013

It was once so beautiful SO, the Imax building has finally gone, no doubt to the great delight of many Bournemouth residents who missed that wonderful view of the bay from Bath Hill. However, I feel extremely upset that the enormous amount of money which was wasted on its unnecessary construction and ultimate demolition could have been put to far better use!

Concerned by police sponsors

9:00am Saturday 18th May 2013

IT is six months ago (November 15th- 2012) that a mere 15 per cent of the public elected the first Police Commissioners.
