I WAS very interested in the letter on hunting with dogs, sent in by Cllr Phillip Eades (‘Call for hunting vote will be a step backwards’, Echo, January 6).

I agree with everything he said, but what I would like to know is, when the hunt is on, who clears up the mess left by the dogs or do they not function like household pets whose owners would be fined if they never cleaned up after their dogs?

I write this not as a dog owner, but I am a lover of dogs into my seventies. I would love a serious answer to my question.
