Let's go back to Christian basics

IT IS a sad state of affairs when the same old left-wing writers in “Have Your Say” blame politicians for the mindless, mainly young rioters, looters and arsonists.

However, it is warming to see the open community spirit come to the fore. As a Christian, I hope and pray that we see a sweeping Christian revival as a result.

This country needs to find the Christian ethic and family strength that made Britain great.

Unfortunately, over countless years, there has been an atheist and marxist infiltration of our society, threatening the very foundations.

Atheist scientists profess to the universe being billions of years old and resulting from some “big bang” or something similar – what total nonsense! Again, the same people support Darwin’s evolutionary theory and talk of dinosaurs being millions of years old.

The Bible tells you the truth, and for those who seek knowledge and gain wisdom, they should be directed to Proverbs 1:7 and 9:10. God’s word also explains how people should behave.

If a man a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her ... He must marry the girl ... He can never divorce her as long as he lives. - Deuteronomy 22:28-29
.
You may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property...but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. - Leviticus 25:44-46
.
No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord. - Deuteronomy 23:1
.
Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. - I Corinthians 14:34-35
.
Yeah - great book!

“The bible tells you the truth” – right, so it’s not just some mumbo jumbo that’s been written to create rules and belief for individuals to follow deflecting them from what could be a potentially meaningless existence. I would read it but can never seem to find it in the fiction isle…

Could it be that Jesus was a David Blaine of his time? Anyway, there are those that believe religion is the cause of war and terrorism – not exactly ‘delivering us from evil’

Thanks Brian,

For those words, especially the Marxist and atheist infiltration, will definitely look out for the infiltrators.
(They do sound worrying...)

I did just want to ask you for a clarification on your exhortation to find the Christian ethic and family strength that made Britain great.

Would that be the Irish Church Christian Ethic or one of the ethics from the Roman Catholics, Russian, Greek or Ethiopian Orthodox, Methodist, baptist, Anabaptist, seventh day Adventist, Mormon, Evangelical, Episcopal, Brethren, Presbyterian, Lutheran (not including the Hussites - OF COURSE!) Eastern Catholic, Congregationalist, Non-Conformist, Pietist, Charismatic or the good old Anglican (high, low and general happy clappy) ethics which differ so much for each other.

I ask merely to ensure I put my effort into the right one and as the list is quite confusing the chance of error is huge...

I think Christ was nearer to Socialism than any other political ideology.

Judeo Christian values have been massively undermined by Nu Labour and this current Tory administration.

The arts have been used as part of a global conditioning process and now nothing is sacred.

The media in this country has been used to manipulate and socially engineer the masses, violence on tv has influenced real life violence, sexually oriented programming is rife and its very easy for children to access sexual explicit and violent material.

The moral landscape in the UK has dramatically changed-when the politicians speak of moral collapse why do they not mention this???

Cameron overtly colluded with it by employing & forming a close association with the ex News of the World editor Andrew Couls

You mentioned secularism and Marxism but its actually satan that is causing the degradation and distress.
