New wave cinema

If my calculations are correct, the faulty Boscombe surf reef can be easily fixed by placing an object the exact size and shape of the Imax building onto the seabed adjacent to the reef.

Don`t be so stupid....
All we have to do is wait for Global Warming to raise Sea levels several metres or so an we`ll have big -tinywaves for free rolling all the way up what were the Central Gardens. And across Sandbanks too, Ho-Ho!
No?

Not such a silly idea.If you look at the roof of the Imax building it is in the form of waves which, if it were placed under the water in the correct orientation, would work in exactly the way the surf reef is supposed to.
Genius.

According to my calculations all it would take to fix the reef is to place Boscombe on the sea bed.

THEY’VE done it! Staff at the Lewis Manning Hospice in Poole are confident they have set a new world record for sandcastle building.
Some 100 volunteers, supporters, and residents joined forces for an attempt on the Guinness World Record for the number of sandcastles built in an hour on Sandbanks beach on Monday night.
Fundraising manager, Maria Tidy, said participants had been gripped by tension as solicitors from Canford Cliffs legal firm, D’Angibau Wilmot, measured the castles in their capacity as reliable witnesses.
“As far as we are concerned, we have broken the record but we have to send video evidence, photographs, and newspaper cuttings to Guinness World Records for adjudication,” she said.
After 60 minutes of frantic digging, teams had constructed 539 sandcastles, each measuring two feet high by two feet wide, and with four visible turrets. ……….

Ahoy Brethren,
I be right suspicious of that sand! Be it purloined from ‘Weights Elephant’ with only the moonlight as a witness? Will yer BBC claim that ASR had some sort of ‘involvement’ in the event and be charging Staff at the Lewis Manning Hospice a royalty fee.
At 1078feet in length that puts ‘Weights Elephant’ in thar shade, all ye organisers needed to do were cover the lot with thy Portland Cement, let it harden then transport it to Boscombe and let it settle down on TOP of ‘Weights Elephant’ The lifeguards could be a peering out of the ready made 4 turrets fer anyone in distress or thy turrets be used by judges, camera, T.V. radio etc…… see a little ‘lateral’ thinking solves a problem Har.
P.S. Me congratulations to such a worthy cause.
