New chapter for green library ‘hub’

The team involved in the design and construction of the new Kinson library and resource centre deserve the praise of Mr Roberts-Butler (Have Your Say, March 16).
I am delighted that the project is in budget and on programme, with the official opening of the ‘Kinson Hub’ scheduled for Monday March 29. People attending the North Bournemouth Area forum on Saturday (10am at Kinson Community Centre) will be able to see how much progress has been made on the new building.
Regarding the other point that Mr Roberts-Butler makes in relation to environmental measures, I can confirm that the building achieves a ‘Very Good’ environmental rating, with energy saving features such as solar shading and excellent insulation values.
