Counting chickens may be premature

AS a resident of Mid Dorset and North Poole, I was very surprised to read the comments of Annette Brooke MP (Have Your Say, March 9).

She apparently considers her majority to be unassailable and her seat not to be marginal.

Her comment smacks to me of the arrogance shown by so many MPs over the past months who have almost uniformly treated their electorate with contempt.

Given the activity of Mrs Brooke’s opponents locally I would not consider this seat to be safe in any way.

I would warn her that this former Lib Dem voter is seriously considering voting Conservative to ensure that we end the reign of this useless and incompetent government and that we elect a proactive, local MP, able to influence the actions of an incoming administration.

You might as well vote Tory, clearly from Clegg's comments last week about she that must not be named ( that evil woman prime minister, you know who i mean) a vote for a lib dem is a vote for the Tories anyway!

Please don't put your vote anywhere that will lead us towards another disastrous bout of Tory'ism. We are still suffering from the effects of all the sell-offs and moneytarism that Thatcher thought was good at the time. How else do you think all these b(..)ankers got so much freedom to **** it all up ..yet still hold their hands out for bonuses. Thank you Maggie... but we certanily don't want 'Son of Maggie'
