I wish it couldn’t be Xmas every day

It was announced recently that local councils would start issuing fixed-penalty fines for wheelie bins left on the pavements after their collection day.
Great idea, but more importantly, how about fining residents who leave their exterior Christmas decorations on the walls and roofs of their homes, not only after Twelfth Night, but in some instances, all year round!
It makes our town look awful and uncared for.
