My wife and I walked through Bournemouth Square recently at 5.30pm.
What a disgrace Bournemouth Square has become. Within 50 yards, a rough sleeper/drinker laying comatose on the pavement near Debenhams, drink and bodily fluids running down the paving, three beggars around New Look and Richmond Hill, seven alcoholics sitting on the curved benches opposite, one crying and wailing the others shouting and inebriated, surrounded by beer cans, bottles, blankets and detritus.
Despite their new powers given, there were no community police officers or police in sight, none. In Bourne Avenue, there were youths on top of the old garden toilet block.
What an awful advert for Bournemouth the Square is.
