I READ daily with increasing disgust at the chaos that is the Bournemouth road network.

I drive twice a day to Bransgore and have for over 40 years. It cannot be right that this nine-mile run takes up to one-and-a half-hours most days.

I have three simple questions. 1: The name of the councillor in charge. 2: The explanation for the long term, and ongoing chaos. 3: The letter of resignation from all those directly responsible.

Come on town hall. Admit the facts and please let someone else have a go. They could not do any worse.

People who live in Bournemouth pay huge sums in council tax which then gets wasted in schemes that have not been thought through.

This causes these same council tax payers to spend hours in traffic jams on a daily basis.

Just think what a devastating effect this is having on the local economy. If Bournemouth is the place we all want to live in, the traffic standstill must be addressed. It is no good saying there are lots more cars these days. There are projections for such matters that have been available for many years.

I would be nice to think councillors listen to us, the public, and take action. I am not however, holding my breath for anything other than a few platitudes. What a pity. What a shambles.
