I NOTICE in the Echo (Tuesday, April 24) that Poole council are proposing to set up 20mph speed zones in other parts of the borough.
One has recently been established where I live (Poole Quarter, Newfoundland Drive and Lagland Street).
Nobody seems to bother with the limit and it doesn’t seem to be policed.
Drivers still come over Seldown Bridge at speed, turn right at the roundabout and continue to Aldi’s and Sainsbury’s car parks well in excess of 20 mph.
The other evening on Newfoundland Drive between Seager Way and Avenel Way some idiot overtook me while I was observing the 20 mph limit and turned in front of me into Avenel Way.
There could have been a nasty accident but I managed to avoid one luckily.
