ON approaching the town centre from the Dorset Way, Richmond Hill or Bath Road the landscape is more Manhattan than the town I was born and bred in. Maybe now is a good time to apply for city status bearing in mind that our town is one of the largest towns in the UK and that the new conurbation will need a new name for the future. To that end, maybe a competition of all the schools in the new conurbation could come up with a name to fit the new status for the 21st century.
Just a thought on another suggestion, recognising the skills, publicity, honour, tourism and putting Bournemouth on the map etc, how does "Eddie Howe Park" fit instead of "Kings Park"?
And lastly, why do people say "so" at the beginning of a sentence?
